The admissions to the Vidhyashram Institute of Teacher’s Training, Jodhpur, are made as per the policy decided by the Government of Rajasthan. Currently the admissions are made on the basis of a Pre Teacher Education Test (P.T.E.T.) conducted by the University allocated by the state government of Rajasthan for this purpose. Candidates who qualify in the P.T.E.T. exam, will have to register for the counselling process and appear in it. The P.T.E.T. counselling process will be conducted across multiple phases and candidates will be allotted the courses and colleges as per their rank in merit. Eligibility criteria for taking the P.T.E.T. examination as mentioned in the prospectus of the P.T.E.T. 2024 issued by the office of the coordinator- P.T.E.T. Office, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Candidates possessing more than 50% Marks in aggregate in Bachelors’/ Master degree Examination of the University conducting the PTET or any other University recognized by State/ Central Government or as equivalent to and fulfilling the other requirements for admission for 2 year B.Ed are eligible for P.T.E.T. examination. However SC/ST/ OBC / Widow or divorcee and SBC as well as PWD candidates of Rajasthan securing a minimum of 45% marks at Bachelors’/ Master degree examination are also eligible to take part in P.T.E.T. However SC/ST/ OBC/ Widow or divorcee and SBC as well as PWD candidates of Rajasthan securing a minimum of 45% marks at Intermediate/ Senior Secondary Board Examination are also eligible to participate in P.T.E.T.
